New Sub-Grantees Selected for 2010-2011

The Minority Initiative Sub-Recipient Grant Office at the University of Arkansas at Pine Bluff recently funded eighteen (18) organizations for the 2010-2011 year. These organizations, located throughout the state of Arkansas, submitted excellent proposals that combined with strong coalitions and activities will attempt to combat tobacco use and exposure in minority communities. 



The organizations and the region of Arkansas in which their work is being done are as follows:

 Family & Youth Enrichment Network, Inc. (Helena-West Helena)

 Future Builders, Inc. (Wrightsville)

 In His Image Youth Development Center, Inc. (Little Rock)

 Legacy Initiatives (DeQueen)

 Mississippi County Coalition for a Tobacco-Free Arkansas (Blytheville)

 Northwest Arkansas Tobacco Free Coalition (Springdale)

 Garland County C.A.R.E.S. (Hot Springs)

 Southwest Arkansas Community Development (Magnolia)

 St. Edward Mercy Foundation (Fort Smith)

 Wells Bayou Development, Inc. (Gould)

 Women’s Council on African American Affairs (Little Rock)
